Update on me...
Hi everyone...
First of all "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to all!! Have been off doing other things (mainly my discipleship blog), and still dealing with neck/lower back pain. The cervical SCS helped 100% for a short time and have had to start getting shoulder steroid shots lately. X-ray showed leads have migrated so waiting to see what is to be done next. Anyone have any experience with lead migration? Rep. (who's new:eek:) says she can tweak me to bypass the leads having migrated. Not too sure I want to go down the road of tweakage again as it was a long time getting them to where I needed them to be as I was not as blessed as Mark to be able to program myself. My lower back is painful from a recent fall but xray shows leads are fine, so think that I just have to wait for the body to recover from the fall. Please know that you, my dear friends, have been in my thoughts many times but I honestly didn't have much to say as the Lord has had me focus on my discipleship blog...now up to Chapter 40! Has to be the Lord because I don't have that amount of stuff to write about. Any info. on lead migration would be helpful. Thanks. Hugs to all  |
Glad you Came Home!
:circlelove:Love is all around you here Fiona, and though I do not have real life experience regarding migration to relate, you very much have my prayers and those of the many who are here. The Lord bless you,

Fiona!
Good to hear from you! I know how busy you are and I'm happy that your blog is coming right along! You'll probably never really know how many people you touch spiritually, but you'll be wearing a pretty heavy crown of jewels as a reward for what you're doing
Hmmm, the lead migration. I'm not much help, altho I DID have one lead come completely loose and migrated clear down my spine and was just 'sitting there' at the base of my lumbar. We decided to pull it out instead of reconnecting it since my other lead was working so well that it covered BOTH my legs and lower back! Will be anxious to hear what they decide to do. Others will be along to give better input. Thanks for your update and I pray that it will be an easy fix. Merry Christmas to you TOO! Rae  |
got answer on lead migration
Saw dr. today and turns out leads have not migrated :Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli:
I was thinking the cervical ones had as on the x-ray it showed them as being at different level than was told they were put at on implant surgery. They told me today that my leads probably did migrate some but it's quite common for it to happen right as you're getting off the surgery table or in the first 30 days, post implant! Who woulda' thought, certainly not me. On the x-rays, my lumbar leads were exactly where they shoulda' been, at T8. So, now for the neck pain that the cervical unit isn't getting, they are going to give me an epidural steroid shot at C7 to see if that gets to the root of the problem (pun intended :winky:). Sigh of relief here! Did not want to messed with again! Can't believe I've had my "twins" for over 2 years now. Rep. said today that she had a man come to see her who had his in for 5 years and just wanted tweaked. I was under the assumption that tweaking was for the early days and getting your pain levels down, but sounds like you can go in for a tune-up several years after implant. Will have to keep that in mind. Anyhow, just wanted to pass this. Please know that if I'm not on here often it's not because I don't think of all of you, but because I'm busy doing my blog and, now, may be moving to Texas  |
So happy about the good news. Anymore, it takes a lot to surprise me but a tweak after five years is amazing. On the other hand, Pain Man keeps saying "stuff happens and nerves do strange things". I got tired of hearing those lines which bring no real comfort but they happen to be true. Best wishes.

Hi Fiona
Hoping and Praying at thsi Christmas time you may have relief through even a tweak of your cervical twin program to attempt "something new." Maybe the block will help you far more than they ever helped me....

of using BOTOX it is used for other very important situations intrigued i am |
my experience with botox...
A lot of people say they get good results from botox. Just make sure y ou have a very experienced doctor do it.
I tried botox for my shoulder spasms but unfortunately I discovered I'm one of the few that has an adverse reaction to it and it made my pain much, much worse. And, since the shots are to last for 3 months (or more), the increased pain hung around for those 3 months:( But it's one of those things that you don't know how your body is going to react to it until you try it. That's why I got referred to the new dr. I have now who just does the guided imagery shots into my shoulders with simple steroids/lidocaine. It does help but only for about 3 months but no adverse reactions to this medicine other than insomnia for the first 4 nights or so. I hope that if you do decide to try botox that you get a very qualified doctor and that you get the pain relief you are looking for! Hugs!! |
Botox
Hmmmmmm........ I might have thought about Botox if my nerves had wrinkles which needed straightening....:D
Oh.... I have been bad haven't I? Mark56:o |
