Prism Required in Prescription

I require to have prism in my prescription. I've been wearing glasses for years, but I'm getting tried of them. I was wondering if there were any solutions to either get rid of the prism, so I could get contacts or what options were out there, so I don't have to wear glasses anymore.

To my knowledge, there is no surgical procedure to get rid of the prism Rx unfortunately. :( And the last I knew, which was some time ago, there weren't any prism contact lenses either. I'm sure at some time there will be, but you might call and check on that for sure. I've been out of the business for a few years -- I was an Optician for many years, but had to quit due to health problems. So I'm not up on the latest.

I hope soon you can get contacts, cause I know it's tough wearing glasses. God bless and take care! Hugs, Lee ;)

Hello Littleleaf!

I just wanted to Welcome you to NT!

You'll find this to be a very caring place full of supportive and understanding people.
I wish I had some knowledge in opthamology, but I'm not able to be of help.

I hope you can get some answers very soon.

It's great to have you!

I have a prism for my glasses. But, I don't know of a way to get rid of it.
