Hello here is my story any advice please

first of all hello and hope your all well!
I am jax a 39 mum of 2 happily married in a job a love (nursing assistant) recently I had major surgery (gyneacological) all recovered from that and given the all clear :)
Having major problems with my back since operation so decided to go back to docs to see what is happening.
I have always had pain in my back and thought I might be due to my job. I have always worked in care since leaving school. Back now so so painful. Doc was shocked to see my back and said i had a 'spastic back' and the straightest spine he has ever seen!!! He put me on some meds which I had an allergic reaction to urgh waiting to see physio next week. He also said that my back was so bad this is why I have terrible migraines! explains so much but then is upsetting. I have a 'rock' lump in my neck and he feels this will explain the numbness in finger tips??? I have chronic hip pain and again he says my back would cause this. Does it cause all this?!! I have had someone tell me it could be MS omg!! I have chronic fatigue in all muscles and vision has slightly gone off but really could it be?! any help would be appreciated

Jax, Welcome to the forum!

I am sorry that you have pain and other symptoms including fatigue - maddening, isn't it?

It sounds like you have quite a lot of architectural back problems for your pain and numbness. Maybe the course your doctor has suggested will help. Pressure on nerves can cause pain and numbness almost anywhere (look up radiculopathy)

It doesn't sound MS'y to me. We do share some symptoms and we all have to live within our limitations so, please join in where ever we can help each other.

My best to you,
ANN

Could the lump in your neck be a problem with your Thyroid? Have you had your Thyroid checked? Depending on what the lump is and why you have it, it could explain your symptoms.

i would ask your dr to be more specific with what the problem is.
is a disc? muscles? what exactly is wrong with your back?

you might also ask for a copy of the drs office visit note. you might understand more although some of it will be in medical lingo.

you might think about a 2nd opinion. do you have a good pcp? do you have a neurologist (might ask for a consultation with 1).

try not to get upset yet about possible diseases. take some deep breathes and take 1 thing at a time. getting diagnosed is a process. trying to stay calm will help you deal with whatever comes up.

please let us know how you are.
