Going for round 3

well In short, I had the Boston unit implanted April this year, They did the one where they put them real close to your spine, anyways helped some with the leg pain but my rep could not get it to work on my left side, after several x -rays and many visits with the rep, My Pm Doc said the lead moved, and only way to fix it was another surgery,

Well in October had surg. number 2 for the SCS this time the Doc put some kind of medical string that wouldn't interfere with the leads and sewed them in place this surg took longer than the last one and after I woke up wasnt in a good mood, Ohh the Nurses hate me at that hospital, lol.....anyways my rep programmed me again later that day, and then again a week later..

The Good news is it still helps 20 to 30 percent with my leg pain, still no help with back pain, My Primary Pain Doc is sending me a colleague of his in Boston
to do a trail Pain pump. My First visit with him is in Feb 2013

My Doc talked about putting me back on Fentanyl, and fentora for breakthrough pain but with all the high doses i was taking before he
became my Primary Pain Doc, He doesn't want to interfere with my upcoming visit with this other Doc. Which in a way makes since and in a way sucks to be me lol,

Anyways Ive read the last 5 pages on here and looks like I have a lot more catching up to do Thank you all who have helped

Feelin sad for ya T

:hug:Wow, what a path of difficulty. I am a Boston Sci alum having been implanted in 2010 and it has worked wonders..... but I was allowed to program myself. I will probably always believe this one small fact is the supreme difference between success and failure with the technology.

So, if you are looking at a pain pump trial, I so hope and PRAY your situation will provide beneficial resolution to the pain.
CARING,
Mark56:hug:

Hello tpowell!

Glad to know you're still around!
I'm sure sorry tho, that your unit isn't giving you a better percentage rate of pain relief. This has been frustrating for you, yet you are still determined to try whatever it takes to get the relief you deserve.

PLEASE let us know how this pain pump trial goes!
Seems like the pain pumpsters never really stick around too long. It would be wonderful if you'd stick around, ya here!

Caring,
Rae
