Getting Disability

I had set appointment for disability....Any suggestions to present in my case besides the obvious of a severe post concussion syndrome, including mild dementia, and balance off.

Appreciate any feedback,

But one word, MiaVita2012:

"Document! Document! Document!!! ... everything, with cc: to/for everyone, every entity/agency/dr. involved with your determination!

Be certain to offer/submit well in advance, in writing, your hourly, day-to-day life experience, daily 'routine', whatever schedule of daily/weekly activity that you may/ or may not be capable of adhering to, fulfilling ... and if not so, document 'why'; capacities/incapacities; show in time-clock-hours just "how" your day is lived/spent, each day.

Wishing you all the best outcome,

Theta Z.

Mia, Any disability application depends on the agency/insurance company and disability policy provisions.

Social Security Disability does not accept disability determinations from the applicant's doctor. The doctor can state the capabilities and limitations of the applicant such as: Unable to work more than 4 hours straight. Unable to maintain pace and persistence due to mental fatigue problems.

Some employment disability programs limit the policy to loss of jobs skills and abilities for a specific job. Others require the employee be unable to do any job at all.

I forget where you are. The location can make a difference too. California has a State Disability program that has its own requirements.

Good luck at your appointment.
