Anyone else feel like they are hung over after Christmas?

I functioned like crap the entire day yesterday but still managed to pull through (with frequent breaks). I woke up this morning feeling like my head has been trampled by elephants. I could barely get a sentence out. I walked around in circles while trying to figure out how to change my son's diaper and make him breakfast. Left the milk out. Left the cereal out. Left the fridge open...lol. Not even gonna mention what happened to the dirty diaper.

This is truly the worst day of my life...lol.

I can't get any rest because, well, I've got a little maniac to take care of.

Anyone else feel like they've been hit by a train today?

Nah ... I'm just so glad & grateful to have not been hit here by last night's local tornadoes!!!

But then, admittedly, I wasn't dealing with a toddler child in the throes & thrills of Christmas Day!! :o

Best to you, Nick!

I agree! Two children to look after while my spouse (who has been amazing for 15 motnhs since I was knocked down) was in the full throes of the flu. It has been rather exahusting and we are all waiting to see who gets flu next! Hang in there and take a few minutes of quiet time whenever you can. Not easy with a toddler!

The good news is that last Christmas I was in a closet on a mat (the only truly soundproof room in the house) and this Christmas I sat at a dinner table with six people. Progress. Slow, but progress none the less!

Congrats, Mokey, on your progress since this Christmas season last year! Good work!

I relate

First of all, I'm apparently 'early' in recovery at just 2 months, but WOW was I ever unprepared for PCS-affected holiday season.

And mine are still going, too. Split parenting makes for many Christmases.

Tired, very sore, icing, longing for relief. Thanks for the shout out to help us all feel less alone in our strife!

I was trying to explain it to my friends. I said imagine an old pentium 3 computer with all programs open, a virus, and dial up Internet. Type a command. Now wait for it to respond. That's my brain. Lol... Sigh. What can ya do.

Next Christmas will be much better, I know it. :)
