How do I know if my RSD is spreading

The sifde of my calf on my left leg started burning earlier. I have been having a flare up on my right leg all day and then out of no where the side of my left calf started burning. Does this mean I am getting it in my left leg now??? Has anyone had this happen to them????:thud:

Hey you,

When my RSD spread from my rt.ft/leg to my left I felt the exact same thing. Plus, it would go numb and I would get pins and needles. I like to call mine the "Butterfly Effect". It is exactly the same now on the left, as is is on the right.

Question for you? Have you had any surgeries or injections lately? Have you fallen or hurt that leg in any way you can remember?

Blessings,
Heather

Yes I had a nerve block on my right leg. It only gave me a couple minutes of relief.....

Dana,

The reason I asked that question, is because I noticed mt spread immediately after my Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial that failed. Once they pulled those wires from my back, my left leg had the exact same symptoms as my right within a week or so.

I am not a doctor so I cannot say that is you have + RSD spread or not. What I can tell you is what I know caused my RSD and my doctors said "RSD doesn't spread like that". Ha, I printed out several articles which I have below for you, and they actually Shut Up and Listened and couldn't believe they were wrong.

These should help a great deal in learning more about the spreading, if you don't already know!

Take Care,

Hi Bronco,

The word for that is mirroring if it seems like it's in the same place on the other side of the body. I have it worse in my right arm and hand and I have actually felt it mirroring over to the exact same places that it's worse.

I have had a spread also but you can tell the difference once you get to know more about the RSD and your body.

You might want to keep a diary or log of everyday so you can keep up with what is happening with you and you can show your Dr.

Ada
