neuropathy question

is pn or autonomic neuropathy (same thing?)

episodic? can it be constant?

i have numbness in my hands 24/7. when i do certain exercises incorrectly my thoracic spine tingles and this "can" make my hands or feet tingle.

if i hold back my shoulders, both my hands tingle.

but the numbness along my median nerve distribution is always there regardless. sometimes more numb.

could compression be exacerbated by autonomic neuropathy?

Autonomic is a form of PN. It affects the sympathetic and/or parasympathetic nerves in the periphery. This results in aberrations of blood pressure, digestion, sweating, and other things the the autonomic systems control (they are mostly automatic).

Sensory PNs affect pain, pressure, hot, cold, positional sense mostly.
Sometimes sensory PNs arise in the dorsal root ganglia along the spinal cord.

Motor PNs affect movement of the muscles...usually this is demyelination of axons.

Here is a good site to read explaining it all:

bump

ugh i guess what i have is post-injury sensory pn

i had an injury to my brachial plexus where both my arms swelled up and turned white and my hands went numb, i had shooting pains

then six months later they miraculously regained sensation for no apparent reason but i exercised improperly, less swelling and no shooting pains and they went numb again and have been numb for 2.5 yrs. they are less numb than they used to be but still numb

i am wondering if it is a blood flow damage and nerve issue. not enough to come up positive on any tests.

do you guys think id benefit from exercise and vitamin e and/or coq10
i had a few flushing episodes with jarrows b right formula recently which i figure is a good thing, they have subsided
