~MayoClinic~
I am wondering if anyone has been seen @ the MayoClinic? :eek:I am tired of tap dancing around this TBI/PCS with the MD's that I have to choose from....I am the one suffering and some how I am doing all the work to find the speciality MD's I need in a limited area!!!
I am ready to just go out of state to go to a MayoClinic so I can start to recover and not have to find my own MD's!!! ***Any feedback***On MayoClinic is MORE than GREATLY APPRECIATED!:grouphug: |
Mayo versus Cleveland versus other highly rated clinics are no better than the triage and first doctors/caseworkers who start your referral process. The Mayo's web site about concussion is way out of date. I would not recommend Mayo if their web site is an indicator of their concussion knowledge.
What symptoms are you still struggling with the most? Have you been able to get weeks of quiet rest? |
Where do I start lol
Mark~
I am currently laying in bed with heating pad on feet that have 2pair socks on, Ice on neck, massaged organic extra virgin coconut oil on my own neck lol, face because jaw line starting to get spasms and ice is about to go on face next, ears ringing, eyes are sensitive, chest is tight dont know if muscle spasms , and breathing is short. Before I got to this stage about 10min ago I did meditation breathing, drank cup of white tea, took half benzo to try to stop what felt like my body was just going into a panic attack and it was no negative thoughts in my mind actually felt decent.... I have been getting quite sleep mostly on a schedule that varies from 8-10hrs for most part since Christmas Ok now hands are going numb from holding phone up....I forgot that happened first before all above^^^^^ |
After my first concussion, I would find that if my anxiety levels or pain levels were up, I was more aware of the temp issues with my body, especially being cold. It's as though my central nervous system was just constantly off kilter!!
I dealt with it for many months and had numerous tests (neurological, cardio, endocrine, etc) all to come back normal. It was frustrating & scary because i couldn't pinpoint a cause. Ultimately the temperature sensitivity improved, but it took many, many months. To cope, I simply tried to deal with each situation as it arose - just as you are doing. Sorry you are experiencing this, I feel for you! |
