Right arm/hand radiculopathy and numbness

Good Morning all, Well I have been dealing with these issues since 2006 in both arms. I underwent a 3 level ACDF (C4-C7) in 2009 with the left arm issues/pain being the worse. Surgery did not help eleviate the radiculopathy or the numbness in my arm, and now for about the last year I am having (also dx with TOS in 2010) the pain/radiculopathy and numbness in my right arm. I know I have ostoephytes and would have to look up my last MRI to verify which forminal opening are narrowed. So tired of this feeling and pain. I have been putting off seeing my Doc for fear of the results, as I have read a lot of people have had 2nd and 3rd surgeries and I did not fair well with my first and only surgery. Thanks for listening to my morning rant.

HI Bunz50 --I totally understand --but u already know deep inside something needs to be done ---I have a problems as well on right from neural formeman..shoulder being the worst, but neck and scapular area. I thought I may have a torn rotatar cuff but like u didnt want to deal with more surgery. Earlier this year I for another mri my surgeon said I see the problem is at c5 the nerve is pressing but still opened the only thing they could do it take out old hardware and dig hole bigger ---he felt the risk of not fusing on revision surgery is increased esp on a muti-level fusion. Honestly he said pain mgmt which i have yet to do...some weeks not so bad ...other flare ups take me out. We talked about possible esi ....so trust me they wont rush u back into surgery unless its 100% invetiable. Im just sorry once again you have to deal with this keep me updated but at least get another mri or ct---u want clam yourself until you really know anyways!!

Thanks for your response mg neck prob. Tho I am not looking to have additional surgery, unless my spine was so bad it could cause permanet damage, but I would like another MRI soon and will be speaking with my Dr(who is amazing and truly understands my issues). Like all of us who deal with chronic pain, it gets very tiresome and I get cranky, for the last 2 weeks I have been in a flare up (8 out of 10) and nothing I take seems to help and the pain/radiculopathy between my shoulder blades and arms/hands. It is driving me nuts, I just want it gone. I cannot sleep or get comfortable with this constant electic/burning pain. Not sure if its the TOS or cervical disc issues. Leesa and Ginnie are great at describing how discs in our neck causes different issues and how these disc interact with the nerves. Hint hint lol. Although it could also be the weather, today our tempature with the wind chill is minus -28 celsius BRRRR chills you to the bones! Lol, staying indoors today. Enjoy the day and thanks again!
