why are there so many bad days

Why is it I can have a feww good days and then days that are so terrible I want to crawl under a rock and die. My doctor up my effexor, I want to say it helps a little, but then I get hit like a truck ran over me. My back is the same way. Some good days more bad ones. So tierd of living this way. If I could lay in bed all day and sleep I would, I already lay on the couch most of the day, just waiting for the mail and the decision from my hearing for ssd. If that is denied again I don't know what will happen. o well the end.

I was on effexor too (after a long list of other things that didn't work) and felt the same way.

Turns out I needed something else in addition to the effexor in order to fully deal with my depression. I started out with a very low dose of risperdal and now have switched over to abilify. I'm finally feeling human for the first time in a long time!

if the Effexor isn't working well, ask for a change, or ask him to ADD Abilify to it. The Abilify enhances what you're already taking, and it makes a world of difference. I was on it for awhile but had to get off cause it made me retain water. Darn it. I felt so much better on it.

you may need a change in medication. You may have accomodated to the Effexor. If that's true, then nothing is going to work. he may just have to put you on something else.

Have a talk with your doc. It sure can't hurt. You NEED to feel better than this. This just isn't getting it.

I wish you the very best. Please keep us posted, ok? Hugs, Lee :)
