Hi guys! My psychiratist has prescribed me on Neurontin, and has decided to go with this instead of an SSRI due to an IBS like feeling every morning. (I'm still having it! Ugh!) He wants me to start on Monday after the SSRI stuff is flushed out from my body.

I feel though after I got off the Cymbalta that my old concussive symptoms started up again, sometimes I feel a little dizzy and its out of my control! My head feels totally heavy, should I give it up and suck it up to stopping the meds cold turkey like my doctor said? Or could this be something that I should worry about?

My main question is though, Does anyone here like Neurontin? What has it done for you? Does it really relieve pain and anxiety? My doctor started me 100mg 2 to 3 times a day. By the way, I am 117 pounds if that helps.

I have no idea...I am on a SNRI...I do see a lot of others on here that are on Gabapentin (Neurontin)....I hope it treats you better then Cymbalta and you should get a lot of feedback.:hug:

I have been on Neurontin for over 12 years. I take 900mgs every night before bed. 600 was not enough. I weigh 180 lbs.

it may take a week or two for the Cymbalta withdrawal symptoms to subside. Stay in touch with your doctor in case you have strange symptoms/thoughts.
