Nortriptyline

I've been having concussion like symptoms for about 6 months now. I just started Physical Therapy 2 weeks ago and it has been helping very much.. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't been feeling any better after 5 months or so. I also upped my dose of Nortriptyline from 20 MG to 30 MG, I have noticed a significant difference in how I feel. It has definitely helped me start feeling almost completely normal. I just wanted to share some positive news. I know how depressing and hopeless one can feel after so many months of not feeling better. This is more of a recovery post. It is possible, and can happen to you to. Just keep a positive outlook and keep praying and working hard toward recovery. I have also noticed I feel the best after a good workout. Every time I leave the gym now its almost like I feel as if I have zero symptoms at all. Thank you for reading!

Thank you for posting! I personally have to cling to the odd glimpse of a recovering person to even believe it's remotely possible. Right now feels like an abyss.

So... Thank you.

:Thanx:

Great you feel better! What do you think the nortripyline does for you? I was prescribed it but haven't taken it yet.

Glad you are feeling better. Recovery from PCS is long and difficult. As my pcp said the medical society needs to recognize sooner and be better at treating pcs than it does now.

Nortripyline is a tricyclic antidepressant. It sometimes helps with head aches and insomnia similar to amitriptyline.

Mokey,

Overall I feel like its helped a little bit of everything as far as my symptoms go. It helps me sleep better/deeper which is essential for recovery. It also helps control the headaches. I only take 30mgs before bed. I originally started with 10 then went up to 30, but I definitely feel like that mixed with vitamins and a good diet have really helped my recovery. Also no alcohol is a big one. Every time I have a few beers I definitely feel my symptoms the next few days after that.

Good Luck and God speed in your recovery. Believe me I still have days where it is a little harder, but recovery is out there and its attainable. You must keep a positive outlook and always remember you could have it worse. As hard as that is to believe sometimes, its true.
