A Gold Mine of Info

Soccertese, thanks so much for this--it is a treasure trove of info r/t effect of exercise on pd. I was a little surprised it didnt mention the FE using an exercise bike. I loved that it gave specific info on resistance exercise. I used to have pretty good strength but have noticed a decline in ability to lift things. This article describes how you can get some of that back thru moderate weight lifting. My only concern is somewhere I read it might increase your tremor, but this article does not indicate that to be the case.

i didn't reread the paper after reading your post but i think they mentioned FE briefly, maybe not using that terminology.
i'm only taking sinemet and i certainly need to be well medicated to lift weights and can do so as well as a normal 58'er.
imho, weight training becomes important for many other reasons than just pd at my age, so i'm willing to take within reason the pd drugs i need to do so. not sure why i mentioned that.
