Naltrexone?

I guess this would be an open post to Drevy, if allowed.
Drevy, I noticed in your drug listing below that you are taking naltrexone, LDN. I posted quite a bit here on LDN. My wife had been taking it probably since 2004. She stopped about 2 years ago thinking it was not slowing here PD progression. All I can tell now is that she seems to have progressed a lot more over the past 2 years with on/off, falls etc. She takes at lot of Sinemet 25/100 and ER (15 pills a day) plus a neupro 2mg patch. But with at least 10 years of PD maybe that's where she should be.
So back to you. Is there anything new you can share about LDN as far as how you came upon it and do you know of others that take it? I know LDN was a bother to obtain and expensive. There is an alternative to LDN, dexthromethorphan (cough syrup, 1/2 tsp). I am trying to get my wife to use it but she's tired of taking meds I guess.
Also, how are you doing with Zandopa? I bought 2 bottles for my wife but, again, she shows little interest.
John

(This is very interesting. Will it ever happen here?)
Pallido-thalamic tractotomy

This sounds excellent! I'd rather have non-surgical procedure done than to suffer one more day of these PD symptoms. I hope it becomes available soon. __________________

I've only been taking LDN for about 6-7 months. It helps with some symptoms like brain fog at night. I find that coconut oil helps me out more. Give me a clear head and happier mood. Is she on a special diet? She should be eating more veggies and less meats, especially red meat. The Zandopa is pretty good. I don't know the dosage, you have to experiment with that part.
