good news

I saw the surgeon today and everything is fine. Now the big challenge is to get strong again and that will take time.

Well THAT is Good News

Go for the Good! Take the Gold! Glad you are shipshape. Now to the stuff of physical therapy to restore strength and endurance. Before long, programs humming, perhaps you will be way out in front of the pack and pain will be managed as all had hoped and prayed for you,
including me,
Yup:hug::grouphug:

Thanks, guys. After all the joy of the good news and a decent meal in a resteraunt, today is miserable. Yesterday was very warm and sunny. It is now slushing outside and my back is in an uproar from the round trip to Louisville. Where's Judy? I need a hot shower now. This, too, shall pass but not fast enough. Y'all have a great weekend.

Next Time

maybe a hot springs spa...... tends to heat up the sore parts.:)

I am settling for guided imagery. Right now I am in the huge therapy pool at the local rehab hospital. The temp is somewhere between 95 and 100 degrees. The spasm and inflammation are melting and draining from my body. I should be able to do some aggressive walking, shortly, then sit in front of the strongest jet before showering. Oh yes!!!!!!

may not be a mineral spa......

BUT I have spent countless hours recuperating and building strength in just such a therapy pool....................... delightful, yes indeed.

Blessings on your no longer aching body tonight Spiney!!

Guided Imagery!

I knew that term sounded familiar! My psych worked with me using this technique for my anxiety. Other words.....go to that 'fun, peaceful place' and all will be well.
It worked so-so. It's hard to paint that picture in my mind when I'm in full anxiety mode

Well

If you are headed south of Glenwood Springs in Colorado, eventually you will pass the town of Redstone on the way to the town of Marble.... along the way, if you did not want to pay a fee to use the public pool at G.S., then you pull off the side of the road noticing the steam rising from the side of the Crystal River..... picturesque.... then if there are people already in attendance, it can be burlesque [bear in mind this is in full view of the public highway alongside] because folks drop into the water sans clothing usually.

Not exactly the picture Spine was going for, but, ifn you were just you and trusted others with appropriate attire, you slip into the free steamy water, steam billowing around you because no matter the time of year the ambient air temp is low compared to the water. Mount Sopris rises to the east, and if you REALLY crane your neck you might catch a glimpse of a peak, maybe two as you soak up warmth and heal the "bones."

Ahhhhh........ for those who take advantage..... Me? I am too shy. I go for the indoor pool with clothes.... swimwear.:):grouphug:

That's great!! So glad!! My Leg one is so good I can't imagine life without it. Getting stronger is hard. I still have problems with that!
