Anyone ever done this and is it worth the flare? There seems to be such a vast differnce in protocols used with the ketamine infusion between doctors. That seems to puzzle me. I guess it that everyone is differnt and what may work for me may not work for you.

I've had one series of Ketamine infusions with Dr. Lubenow. I did not go off any meds and I had relief for 2 weeks. I believe the relief would have lasted longer if I had rested more. I felt so good I definitely overdid it. And Dr. Lubenow encouraged me to swim a LOT. That was another definite mistake. As soon as I overdid it, every success disappeared.
As far as going off your meds goes, I recently ran out of my lyrica. I didn't realize the mail order pharmacy couldn't automatically send refills of this because it was a class 3 drug. Wow, did I miss my Lyrica for that time period. Immense burning, pain and weakness. As soon as I figured out that I had to phone in for my refill of Lyrica and I got back on it, I returned to my "normal" level of discomfort.
Good luck with your infusions.
