are only people that cannot work eligible?
 

for me it is hard to find work, and a lot of people judge me by my tremors, etc, then i have a lot of school, so it is hard to get a good job. i know SS cannot take care of everything but if i could do it maybe it could help. but if i could do SS, maybe Vocational rehabilitation will not help with school.

but Social Security Disability Insurance is for people who have worked in the past but become disabled and unable to work. It sounds like you are taking positive steps for a future and I applaud you for making such an effort. Hang in There and best of luck with your Voc Rehab program!

it depends, how old are you, are your parents deceased or are they retired or on disability? and did your disabling conditions start before your turned 22? i took this off social security website. www.ssa.gov.

An adult disabled before age 22 may be eligible for child’s benefits if a parent is deceased or starts receiving retirement or disability benefits. We consider this a “child’s” benefit because it is paid on a parent’s Social Security earnings record.

We make the disability decision using the disability rules for adults.

The “adult child”—including an adopted child, or, in some cases, a stepchild, grandchild, or stepgrandchild—must be unmarried, age 18 or older, and have a disability that started before age 22.

remember that it's not just your tremors or whatever ailments you have, it's how they affect your life, and also how your medications affect you.

i'm not sure, but you might be able to get ssi, which is different from ssdi. this is what social security's website says about ssi:
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a Federal income supplement program funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security taxes):


It is designed to help aged, blind, and disabled people, who have little or no income; and
