Crying

Well, for the last hour I have been crying off and on. I see this being how my next few days will go.

I was just told that one of my Aunts died tonight. She had cancer and was in a lot of pain with nothing they could do for her. I know she is far better in Heaven than she was here. But that just doesn't ease the pain.

My Mom had 14 brothers and sisters. 1 brother died a couple years ago from cancer. Now tonight her sister.

It's okay to cry...so sorry for your loss. Gradually the thought you stated that he deceased is no longer suffering will supplant your grief...:hug:

I'm so sorry to hear of your Aunt's passing. She's at peace now and, while that doesn't make it any less painful for you, in time you'll cherish the happy memories you have of her.

So sorry for your loss, Nemsmom..:hug:

What a wonderful large Family you have.
My prayers go out for you and for them.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt. I will keep you all in my prayers.

And, you have every right to cry. Crying can be so healing. You are grieving now and this reaction is completely normal. Give yourself some time and know that you will ok.:hug:

I remember one thing I told a patient of mine who was having a very difficult time with his new diagnosis of cancer and trying so hard to hold it all in. I told him that emotions are a gift from God and by not allowing yourself that gift you are not letting God give you a blessing. Crying is so cleansing. Yes, the death of a loved one is one of the most difficult things we have to go through and you have every right to cry. Try to remember every day something good that she did and eventually you will stop crying.

Sad to hear about your aunt. My thoughts and prayers are you and your family at a sad time like this. Go on remembering all the great times you had with her.

i'm sorry for the loss of your aunt.
it's healing to cry. be gentle with yourself and celebrate your aunt's life and what she meant to you.

grief waxes and wanes so allow whatever comes up to come.
i'm glad you told us.

Dear nemsmom

I am sorry for your pain. You found the right place to be when you are crying. I came here in bad shape too and never left. Grief is hard to handle for anyone. Sometimes you just have to cry it out. I will be here for you. ginnie

Please remember your aunt is in a much better place. Remember the times she brought joy. I pray my family would rejoice, should this be my fate, knowing I would so want to go "home". I want them to remember the good times we had. Enjoying our time together.

Gerry.
