Review coming up?

Hi everyone...I haven't been on here in a long time. I was approved for ssdi in 2010....will I get reviewed soon...I was approved in April...May..I dunno.
Are they usually on time...my psychiatrist said they take about 3 years to give a review. I go to my psychiatrist every 2 months because I can't afford it...I was going every month up until November 2011. I stopped going to my psychologist in November also. I don't like her and I can't afford the copay.

I have bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder and OCD.

Thank you for any info you could give me.

Christy

I had the same symptoms. I received a full CDR after 3 years (not fun). After that i received a short questionaire @ 3 years and another @7 years. I was 47 when I first got my award.

I have your symptoms. Approved 1998--full review 2001. 2004 6 questions written, 2011 6 questions again.

You are in danger of being cut off. Especially, if you are not receiving any medical treatments while collecting SSDI. Suggest that you find another psychologist that you are comfortable with and discuss affordable "copay" payment plans w/the staff ASAP!!!!!!!!

Lack of ongoing medical treatment is an indication that you have medical improvement. You probably should start your job search.

You maybe can't NOT afford the copayment. There are therapists that will work on a sliding scale, and you may qualify for Medicaid or other programs as well.

SSDI 2 denials and appearence before judge soon

Hi everyone,

I would like any advice you can give me re: ssdi. I was denied twice and will probably go to the Judge soon.

What dx did you have when approved?
What age were you when approved? I here it is more difficult if under 50
Did you use a lawyer?
How do you find a doc that will agree to write letters to ssdi re: your health problems? some of my docs tell me that I need a special disability doctor

I applied with dx of major depression, anxiety, personality disorder nos
about 3 years ago.

Since then I have been experiencing a decline in health due to diabetes complications, small fiber neuropathy etc. I am taking Cymbalta and Gabapentin, but don't get much relief and get a lot of drowsiness & fogginess from the Gabapentin

I would appreciate any input. Thank you Mary In Florida

Mary,

It's really best to start a new thread. Please also read the sticky "Don't start your claim unprepared."
