I posted this on another forum before I found this one. Shh don't tell but I feel more comfortable here. I have been having these mini blackout spells for a while. It only happens when I lie down. It is not the same as dozing off. I blackout for a couple seconds and then sit straight up. However, on Saturday night, it happened a few times in a row and then something washed over me and I was literally paralyzed. I t didn't last long although it seemed like forever. I tried to call to my husband and also to move to touch him. I could not move or speak. I know it sounds insane but it was very real and very scary. Next morning I called my doc. She was concerned but did not feel it was urgent. We decided to wait for my test results which have now come back normal. Any thoughts?

You may have had a seizure. I would discuss that possibility with your neurologist. I have had a few absence seizures. I get really tired and have a slight headache afterward.

Way back when I was more aggressive about everything MS, one of the neuros wanted to do a sleep test on me.

Since I was not having sleep issues other than slight insomnia which Ambien handles easily, I did not pursue it.

MS and sleep problems go hand in hand so call your doctor and have tests run.
