Facial Swelling & Fluorescent Lights?

Today I had a busy day of going to grocery with my mother with the horrible lights(had sunglasses on) Made me nausea and physically sick....then had to go to PCP to get blood test back with sunglasses on....at that point my face felt almost like allergic reaction to the lovely lights....has anyone experienced this? Now I am totally wore out!might I add that I look in mirror and my face mainly cheeks are red and white around eyes where my sunglasses were....

Ligh problems

I wear my sunglasses 24/7. Except when sleeping of course. Those fluorescent lights are the worst. When I go in someplace and they just have rows and rows of them I want to run. Especially if one of them is going out and flickering. That is a guaranteed migraine with vision loss and throwing up for me.

The other thing I have problems with is repetitive noises. Does anyone else have a problem with repetitive noises. This is also a guaranteed migraine with vision loss and throwing up and a mental freak out. My neighbors got this new dog that never shut up and the thing had the most annoying bark (yipe) really high pitched. I went out and lost it on them. Told them I was going to poison there dog if they did not shut him up. Was swearing at them. I am so embarrassed I would never hurt an animal. I don't know what happens to me with repetitive noises. Anyone? Please?

Repetitive noises and sounds can create a pattern of neurotransmitters that continue after the sound has ended. The injured brain does not have the ability to filter out this stimuli.

I am with you. I would end up in a threatening manner. The outburst is a common symptoms of PCS. Call you local animal control and keep calling until they train the dog. There are collars that shock the dog when it barks. Maybe animal control will suggest using one.

Repetitive noises and sounds

Yes Repetitive noises and sounds are horrible along with the tinnitus on top of all the other noises! At any store the beep of ringing things up at cashier makes me sick! I have a neighbor that has a barking dog and the days the dog is left out I have to put on light background music to tune it out or else I go a little crazy.

Thank You

Thanks Friends, I was afraid to tell anyone about the dog situation. Yeah, I think I scared the neighbors. I have not heard one bark out of that dog since I freaked on them. They either got rid of it or got the electric collar. I am so relieved. :)

I can't tell you how many times I have gone to the mirror, fully expecting my whole face to be swollen and it looks fine, short the redness, but it feels just terrible. I work under flourescent lights too and wearing sunglasses here just isn't an option really but about to not be a choi:hug:ce.
