We change the clocks ahead one hour Saturday night

http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/p...0949441397.jpg

This is my favorite time of year. I like the longer days and I work some nights late. It will be light on the way home. 'So happy. I love spring and summer.
I changed my watch ahead. Before I go to sleep to tonight I am going to change the clocks on my car, the microwave(s), the two alarm clocks, and the kitchen and living room clocks. (I like to do this a day a head of time so I can start adjusting and be ready for work on Monday.)
Happy Daylight Savings Time, Ya'll.

I thought about adjusting a day ahead. But I have to take Derrick to work.
And also to a basketball game, so it makes it harder.

Hi, Donna,

It is sort of a weird mental game but it makes me feel better to know that maybe it might work.
Enjoy the basket ball game? Has the weather gotten better?

Oh I was so enjoying the game. Until all the sudden here comes the
ball and Derrick got hurt. And he had to sit out the rest of the game.

With a ice pack in a extra room. He was hit in the eye area. And it was
swelling pretty bad. But it started coming down pretty good. So we got
lucky. The kids won the game, playing the whole second half without
him. I didn't tell him, but I think they played their hearts out to win
the game for him.

The other team did play very good, and did give the kids some real help
at times. And it was so nice watching them let them have some advantage.

But you could tell they were having as much fun as our kids were.

It was also so funny, we have one girl that was throwing the ball to anyone.
But she seemed to at times specifically, come down the court. And throw
the ball, to the other team. And the boys would just look stunned. At first
they would look at the ref. and their coach like do we just give it too them.
Or what. But they would then just take off because our kids would.

So it was neat to watch. And at other times, they would kind of toss the ball off themselves so one of our kids that needed to make a basket got a chance.

So it was nice.

I then took Derrick to work. That was the thing he was the most worried
about.

EU springs forward last sunday of March

To those of you in the US who observe daylight savings:

Our time difference will be one hour shorter, for the next 3 weeks.

Members living in the EU, including myself, will spring forward on Sunday March 31st (coincidentally Easter Sunday).

I do not know what Australia does.

For three weeks Wave's oh that is rough. I wish they woul legislate the daylight savings for extra light traveling at night.

not sure i understand... :o If we sprang forward now, getting up early for work (or an am appointment) would mean getting up in the dark - not fun - have enough of that already. we wouldn't exactly be saving much daylight... yet. :o

The impact of DST is relative to one's latitude... maybe they set it up this way for the EU because there is less territory in more southern areas.... that would be my only guess.

i have often wished they would do daylight savings the same all over the world - or not at all anywhere in the world. you see, apart from being thrown by the time change, i am thrown by having to keep track of the time difference between myself and others who change the clocks on a different date. ihope that wasn't confusing - if it was, apologies and ignore it. i'm feeling a bit fuzzy. :o

current DST does indeed give 1 hour extra light later in the day... less earlier in the morning.... i am confused? are you saying you'd like a bigger time shift, like 2 hours or something?

hope everyone remembered to change their clocks forward - where applicable! ;)
