Question on Raynauds..
 

Hope its ok to post here.

All my Auto immune tests came back negative. The lupus only said negative, no number was given, only that it came back less than 140. B12 is fine. On paper, blood work is great so these docs prob think Im nuts.

For a few months, when its cold at my work, my hands become numb.

Happened again this am.

58 degrees, im dressed fine, but my hands are freezing. Then I cant touch metal cause it hurts, and I cant write normally. I put gloves on, but its hard to do my job.

I kept getting nerve like shooting pains from my hands and wrists. It was unreal.

Why the nerve pain?

Now Im pale anyway, but my hands didnt change to blue to red.

is 58 degrees cold? I live in NH and it was cold out, but there is heat where I work.

Any ideas as to what could be going on? Could this be related to the tingling in my foot which is driving me batty at the moment?

Raynauds:

My daughter has Raynauds. Her fingers and toes will go white, not pale but white as if there is no blood in those fingers/toes. Her toes/fingers will also turn blue and red but not everytime. The pain she has is very localized to her fingers/toes.

It doesn't have to be very cold for her to have a problem, she has also had problems with her Raynauds in warmer temps. Raynauds can be triggered by cold/cooler temps but also due to stress.

If you have Raynauds.....58 degrees is cold!
Your fingers and toes should turn very pale with Raynauds.
Sometimes the tip of your nose too and that makes your nose run a little.
Some people with Raynauds have the top tip of their ears turn pale too.

I have never been diagnosed with Raynauds, but my mother and sister have it. Sometimes I wonder if I have it because my hands and feet feel cold when other people's do not. However; my fingers and toes don't really turn pale.
One time I had to go into a computer room and take a typing test. The room was kept very cool due to all the computers. About a third into the test, the base of my thumbs both went numb! Made it difficult to type. I have noticed this very often but really don't think its related to Raynauds.

I've seen Raynauds and its pretty obvious when fingers, toes etc turn pale. You might get some tingling when the affected area warms up, but that's just blood flow returning. :hug:
