hand issues help me please

anyone have hand issues? like I dont know where my hands are in

space...they are very uncoordinated and clumsy...its like they want to close

so I have to constantly open them...numbness and tingling and sensation

problems...makes it hard to do most anything, even shower. my injury was

four years ago and this only started to be a big problem like 5 months

ago....very uncomfortable and sad as I used to be more functional with

garbage, cleaning, helping, and participating in activity....makes it very hard

to benefit from any activity...

Andy55,

Welcome to NeuroTalk. Your hand issue does not sound like a PCS issue. It sounds like you have a problem with your proprioceptive nerves that tell your brain about position.

Have you ever had problems with carpal tunnel syndrome ?

What kind of work do you do ?

Have you done anything manual that differs from your past ?

Have you done anything with aluminum or concrete ?

I used to have severe carpal tunnel syndrome. I found I had behaviors and substances that were causing my problem. Once I fixed these issues, I have been free of carpal tunnel syndrome. The Doc wanted to do surgery but I was able to avoid the knife.

Tell us more about yourself, your activities, etc. Maybe we can find a solution for you.

Andy,

How old are you ? Maybe you have reached the age where past injuries start to cause deterioration.

What does the doctor say ? Have you had a basic neurological assessment ?

Can you list all of your symptoms please ?

You head injury could have misaligned something in your c spine, shoulder or head.
Not enough to show on imaging but enough to cause some of your symptoms.

Especially if you had NO symptoms like these before the injury.

Have you seen any of the links and info here about upper cervical or NUCCA chiropractic?

activity has not been much as I am so fatigued and uncoordinated...routine

things feel foreign....i feel very out of my body and motor reflexes are so

slow....even as i type this it is like i have never felt a keyboard

before...never pet a dog before...the

sensation of it is sooooooo weird....holding forks, cups, keys....it is like i can't

do it...cant hold on and manipulate objects....i can ride stationary 15min and

it helps with circulation a bit as moving myself to do anything is a real

challange....hard to just "push thru" it....on adderall, zoloft, wellbutrin,

gabepentin.....hard to shower when it is weird to hold towel to dry, pick up

bar of soap, lather up......
