Quantifying the problem
Good Day Folks,
has anyone had their PCS quantified? By that I mean their specific symptoms verified and magnitude of those symptoms measured? I would really like to get back to work, which involves coordination/cognitive ability/balance and my senses (particularly sight and hearing). I had to undergo physical and psychometric testing to get there, and am hoping if I can now show a level of impairment that meets a certain baseline, I can continue. I've got a feeling that if I say I have PCS they will just say no on principle so I may have to fight it on individual levels of impairment. Am I making sense here or just rambling?? |
Only a NeuroPsychological Assessment can quantify the memory and cognitive levels. It can also give a very basic reference to motor skills with the finger tapping test.
Was you psychometric testing really a NeuroPsychological Assessment ? There are other tests but they are not recognized by most. [and am hoping if I can now show a level of impairment that meets a certain baseline, I can continue.] Is you employer requiring a test to show you have improved to a safe and functional level ? btw, Members of this forum rarely see the New Member posts so feel free to repost those here. |
