The waiting part is so difficult.

Did your lawyer have an impression of how he thought it went ?

Lawyer thought it went well- he thought hus did well answering the questions and even at one point patted his leg after one question. Judge asked lot of questions. Our atty hardly spoke but that was because the Judge was asking my husband lot of questions about his work, his surgeries, his pain level, his daily activities, etc. Voc Specialist had 3 jobs, but in the end when Judge asked if he could do them, she said no. Judge then replied, No, I don't think he can either. Judge asked husband who he was rooting for in the basketball tournament, etc. They talked about the colleges attended etc. Husband said the Voc specialist gal was a sweetheart. Judge also said that both dr's reports had similiar statements regarding his limitations. Guess that is good sign??

Lawyer said though, he has had really good Judges and felt great about a case, only to have it denied. Ughhh. So it's so hard to tell.

Any thoughts from anyone on if it is thumbs up or down? Is it good sign that voc spec and Judge both said he couldn't do any of the jobs?

My guess is your husband is a shoo-in for final approval! Let me give my CONGRATS TO YOUR HUBBY response now. :D

Thanks to everyone who replied. I did want to mention, my lawyer told me they changed the rules recently about finding out who your ALJ is before the hearing. Currently you can't find out until the day of...They changed it back to where you can find out before hearing. Just thought I would share that tidbit.

I did get the CD the day of the hearing and just reviewed it. I meant to get it earlier but we had a family member that was in bad car accident and had to leave town, etc.

Anyways in the brief the atty wrote to Judge he wrote husbands last name wrong and then wrote wrong knee for total knee replacement. Not sure if I should call atty at this point or not. Not happy about that at all.

IB,

I'd feel awful if I said something that gave you false hope and then your hubby was denied again, BUT :winky: my lawyer told me just after my hearing that although he couldn't make any guarantees, that as soon as the vocational guy said THAT in my hearing, he (lawyer) thought that meant we had it in the bag.

I would call your lawyer about fixing those mistakes. I wouldn't think it would make a difference to the decision on his case now, but you don't want to have a short form review kicked back for a long form review in a few years because he had a doctor's appointment for the wrong knee or something.

Keep us posted !
