Only three people understand them all, two of whom live in a cave in Tibet and don’t speak English – this is very original thinking about Parkinson’s, written with humour and flare and research and serious thinking that is not really thinking outside the box, because it was created with no concept of “boxes”, just as in the Inuktitut language there is no word for “war” because they have no concept of it. They did not free themselves from it; they simply never heard of such a thing. So it is with Rick’s creative scientific mind. Never was boxed in; would not understand the concept of being boxed in.

Rick, are you gonna’ start a new thread as a “PD this week thread”? I am too irresponsible to take on any such task. For example, what method is there for determining if a week has gone by, when you have no sense of time?

Seriously, thank you for the kind words. But what do I do now? One of the reasons that PD is still around is the way that it saps our drive and leaves us exhausted. But I will soldier on as the gates of Moscow recede behind the horizon. (For those who don't know what I am talking about it is an off-the-wall reference to the time when Napolean saw no reason to permit a little bad weather stand between himself and conquering the world. Some of his troops actually made it back to Paris....). Maybe some bright young grad student will take note and change medical history.

Cut and paste from everything you have written. Slices of it. Including the zanier ones. Never mind heavy editing or sequence of material. Let reader be D-I-Y editor. Connect some items with a few of your patented statements. Let your character shine through, so it is science + wit +human + interrogation of man's fate in the universe, all anchored by the science and art of probing this mysterious condition, and our position as canaries in a coal mine.
