PCS and Asthma, What now?
So by my PCP's recommendation, I went to an pulmonologist to rule out breathing problems. The doctor gave me a diagnosis of asthma and referred to an ENT to find if there is a vocal cord dysfunction. So, what now? What can I expect from this treatment? How do people with asthma cope and deal with the problems?

Sorry to hear about this. I know you don't need anything else on top of the PCS. My uncle has asthma and uses inhalers and has a nebulizer at home that he does breathing treatments on himself with. There is help for asthma. You are just going to have to manage it.

Thank you for the replies. Asthma is just something I never dreamed of having. Well, I guess I never dreamed of PCS either. Before the blow, I never even knew it existed!

Funny how life turns out huh? I don't think anyone could possibly dream of what we go through with this PCS. I don't think asthma is going to be too bad in comparison. Sorry you have to endure that too. Hope you find a treatment that keeps it under control. FYI-some of the meds they use for asthma are uppers like in the speed category. I can't think of the right word. Same category as cocaine. Just so you know. I sure would let them know about your brain injury. I think those kind of drugs would be bad news for us. Perhaps they have something else.
