Stomach Flu.
Just when I was finally start to get through 1 week with no symptoms, a stomach virus comes head on to me yesterday night. I still have it, it sucks, and now since I am sick, I can't digest my vitamin supplements, so my moods are off. And my muscle spasms are worse due to the body aches. Headaches also. Insomnia I have always had when I am sick, but it doesn't help my final stages of recovery. >< Ugh, helppp!

Sorry Consider. That is the last thing you need is the flu. Sure hope you get feeling better soon. Try a little ginger ale or sprite. This always helps to settle my stomach and keeps you from getting dehydrated.
Hope this is just the 24 hour kind. Brain  |
Poor you! It will pass quckly, hopefully. Stay hydrated!

I experienced that over Christmas. The ER doc who treated me told me that when you have a nuerological condition like ours, even the slightest dehydration is a huge problem for the brain. His exact words were, "if you start getting dehydrated, RUN to the nearest emergency room, don't walk, Run!"
Don't feel silly if you end up going there. I did and they were able to give me liquids and also stop the unpleasant stomach symtpoms so I could rest. Feel better (hug) |
Ouch.
Yep, something none of us want or need. A Viral Illness, all that to add to our already challenged system. Dehydration is a worry for sure. Even if you have to use things like Pedialyte, or Pediasure - keep up the fluids and supplementation plus water; lots of water. When sick with the flu, whether stomach or respiratory we are losing fluids with everything we do - breathing, bathroom, sweats, everything - at a faster rate than usual. Our bodies are in high gear working to expell the offensive microbial infestations causing our illness, making antibodies, taking everything it needs from our reserves to assure it can win that internal battle. Get well , Best wishes, Feed a cold, Starve a fever, always give your body fluids when sick. :grouphug: |
I hope you're feeling better quickly! Don't worry you'll be back where you were in no time!

Feeling a bit better now, was able to get my vitamins down and get some rest in. I also listened to some relaxation tapes while I was resting in my bed, was very soothing for my mind! :)
