A Poem about "Why"?

Dear Everyone~ there is so much pain and anguish in the world, and particularly amongst some of our Forum members, who have had some pretty devastating things occur. Loss of a husband, a terminal illness, trying to take care care of her son, And, WHY??

I am by no means a poet. So many people in PAIN-- RSD, loss of a husband, senseless shootings taking innocents---WHY??

I prayed for everyone. It might need a "little work"~~~

"A Child asks Why"...

....as she was in in her Mother's arms
seeking comfort and refuge
from Life's recent, painful harms.

"Why does God allow this?
Why does God decide who to take,
and who to leave behind
to cry...
Why couldn't I even say
good-bye?"

The Mother had no answers
as she held her Child's face
between her trembling hands...
"I am a Child, too
and I do not understand".

The Mother and the Child
then bent their heads in Prayer
and asked the Lord for answers--
for Children everywhere.

"Through Faith and Love and Courage,
God will show His Children
Why..."

Hi Soaringwings,

I think we do have a poet among us. It is lovely. Thanks, Roz xxx

Thank you Roz. I cannot take credit. I was especially praying for Dreambeliever and RSD Kittie, and everyone else here, as I could not , and cannot, presume to find "human" words to comfort them, or provide adequate 'answers".

"Something" was guiding my heart and hands, which were merely an "instrument".

Most Humbly,

Brokenwings ( but I am 'open" to considering "Soaringwings", since this Forum , and RSD , has made me realize that my "body" may have "limitations", but my SPIRIT does NOT)... and for that, THANK YOU to this Forum, and to ALL who contribute.
