Test Results.

I got a call on Wednesday for a appt on Thursday. And haven't been near a computer at all. So I haven't been able to post the results.

But its not good, its breast cancer. The degree as to whether lumpectomy or Mastectomy. Will be decided by the surgeon on Wednesday.

I don't know much more than that, because I didn't understand all the other words he gave me.

Donna,
I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am sure you are feeling devastated. This is a survivable situation. Don't loose hope. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I am here for you. I am pulling for you. Lets hope for the best. I wish I knew what to say to make you feel better. I wish I could make this just disappear. I can only send my love and support.
Sending you much love and peace,
Brain :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Oh goodness Donna,

I'm so sorry. :(:(:(

I'm sending lots and lots of hugs your way. :hug::hug::hug::hug:

Can you bring someone... is there a way you can get an advocate for yourself, to help you as you go through this process... you will need to be informed and if the doc is rattling off in medical lingo you do not follow, it would be good to have someone who could help you with that. You have a right to know and understand what he says, not just to hear a bunch of garbled speech.

Maybe it will be ok when you see him, if he is the kind of guy who can explain things slowly and in terms that you understand.

I will be keeping you in my prayers Donna. I have lots of questions but I am not asking because I don't want to overwhelm you. I think this whole thing overwhelming enough, period. I just hope that it was caught early enough and that they can operate cleanly so that you are safe.

~ waves ~ sending you love and hope :circlelove:

Brain and Waves

My husband will be accompanying me. And I'm working on someone else.

Have to wait till I can talk to my husband about that. He is at this time with my mom-in-law. She should be in or out of surgery for her good hip. She fell last night. I don't know how much more we need right now.

I am also working on figuring out someone to go with Derrick to his doctor's appt. Its his neuro and it can't just be rescheduled.

So lots on the plate. I'm handling it okay. Just one day at a time.

Waves

Not sure if these will answer some of your questions.

I can't make heads or tails to much of them. yet.

Right breast stereo core biopsies with the following findings:

virtually every core of breast tissue demonstrates numerous
Ductal units involved by in-situ ductal carcinoma with solid.

Comedo and papillary patterns. (extensive Intraductal. Component)
Associated with coarse intraductal calcifications
Several foci of atypical ductal hyperplasia
There is one focaus highly suspicious for stromal microinvasion

"In situ" Donna.... THAT IS GREAT. The surgeon will be able to remove it easier....

Donna, I saw your post on FB and wanted to leave you a message here too....

EVERYTHING is going to be fine. We are going to be here behind you, praying and cheering you up....

We are gonna fight together against this and we are going to win this battle.

We love you.

Keep us posted. :hug: :grouphug:

P.S Stromal microinvasion means those ba s tar ds cells want to move, but you will get treated BEFORE that happens. You will be fine. Im sure.

BlueMajo 03-29-2013 02:27 PM

Ductal Carcinoma In Situ isn’t life-threatening.

FACT.

You will be fine.

Dear Donna, :Heart:

Majo - thank you for interpreting for us all

Dear Majo

Bless your heart for posting all that you did. :heartthrob:
That was so helpful and also reassuring.
It really is too bad you cannot be with Donna at her appointment. :o
But it is great that you can be here to help her....
... and to help us understand things.

Thank You. :hug::hug::hug:

Thanks Mayo

I had read some on in-sito or whatever it is. And gotten that it might
be a good kind to have. But not sure. But the other was what I
wasn't sure of. And of course I haven't been so sure as to what to
think about the fact that this is my good side. And its been my
other side we have been watching for years.

I keep reading something about estergen and hormones. And never
got that part. Donna:hug::grouphug:
