Mannitol may have PD benefit
 
Mannitol is a zero calorie sweetener used in gum and hard candy. According to this article, it has a positive effect in Fruit Fly PD by making the protein strands in dopamine neurons less sticky.

The success has been replicated with mice. I would be excited if evidence didn't exist showing that interfering with alpha-syn may be harmful to us. :confused:
