Thanks. That's interesting, but I can't really apply it to myself since it's about the techniques the therapist uses on the client.

I checked the facebook page though and found this one on upper cervical mobility which you can do at home:

Joint mobility. That's what I've been doing for the last several years. It's good stuff, especially when you work on the entire body.

Lateral Neck Glides
 
Can you guys do the lateral neck glides he was demonstrating? I've been trying to do those for more than a year now, and it just won't happen for me. Either my head turns, or it tilts. I've been doing a lot of self-massage on my neck lately to see if that helps. It could be that some of my neck muscles are just too tight to fire properly.

I can do them just a little. Not as much as he can. And my shoulder tends to rise up indicating that the muscles aren't really lengthening.

I'm also looking into neck self-massage btw. Trying to get Julie Donnelly's book because I like some of the things she said on her discussion forums, but I ran into technical difficulties with her e-book. Here is an interview with her:
