left temporal lobe lesion
My husband has been found to have a lesion on the left temporal lobe of his brain and I was wondering if anyone out there has gone through this and if so what we might expect please.

Hello Vickie ~ "a lesion on the left temporal lobe of his brain" that's a very frightening phrase, isn't it? I'm sure sorry you two heard that.
I did hear the same thing about my left temporal lobe in July 2005. I heard the word "mass" and "lesion". I usually heard "mass" and was told to simply use "mass". I'd sure like to know, if it's OK please, what caused your husband to have doctors 'look' as his left temporal lobe, what doctors, what tests, when? That all makes so much DIFFERENCE. Back in 2005 my neurologist sent me for an MRI to make me stop whining about my epilepsy and that showed a "mass" in my LTL. That turned out to be a tumor that was removed Feb. 14, 2006, after much more testing. The word "lesion" can mean other things than tumor. I am saying a prayer for your comfort and strength. I hope to hear from you soon. |
