New member with urgency!!

Have neuropathy issues when I drink. I have done some research and it seems like its just when I over do it. When I take breaks from drinking, the neuropathy, if that's what it is, goes away. Lab work from I had done recently, had no liver problems but I didn't get Vitamin B done. I have a script for that. Do I need to stop drinking totally or control and is there anything to take to offset this. I am a 44 year old male in good health otherwise with a family. My physical activity has not been limited but I hate the tingling and pain in my ankles and shins. Any help moving forward is appreciated!!

Welcome to NT. Can't say one way or the other what is best for you. Have you mentioned this to your dr, and if so, what was their recommendation?

If not drinking leaves you feeling better physically, then yeah, of course, keep an eye on it. If moderation works, go for it. If overdoing it leaves you with your neuropathic symptoms in full swing, then only you know your limitations.

Otherwise, how are you feeling?

Drinking can effect everything in your body. nerves, organs, vessels, etc. If you are experiencing neuropathy when drinking I would not be drinking. This is an indicator that you are going to have permanent long term issues. Please discuss this further with your dr.
