light sensitivity and migraines and glasses
I have extreme light senstitvity in my left eye with left side migraine pain.
I've noticed that there are special glasses out there that claim to address this issue. http://www.axonoptics.com/migraine-c...graine-relief/ http://www.deseretnews.com/article/8...rs.html?pg=all (article about this) http://www.theraspecs.com anyone tried these special lens or have similar experiences? Thank you! |
Have you had your vision assessed by a neuro-opthamologist? This is necessary after brain injury /concussion. A large percentage (50%?) have visual problems. Check out the postings on this or other sites.
Good luck! |
I had my eyes checked by a "standard" optician / optometrist a month after my injury. Although I sat their with my eyes streaming because of the lights in her office, she could find little wrong.
A year later I went to a specialist and she could see within a few minutes what was wrong. I now have my first ever pair of glasses with special lenses to help focus my eyes to a set point in front of me. There is a period of vision therapy to follow. I would recommend all people with head injuries to have an in-depth eye exam. Even if they find nothing wrong at least it is one less worry to have. |
