Hyperbaric treatment
 

Has anyone tried hyperbaric treatments for PCS? My dear husband is desperate to get me back to normal after my concussion and want me to try this.:eek:

I have not, but would love to. Are you in a Canadian city that has this? I am not :(
The reviews are mixed...but some people apparently get good benefit.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has mixed reviews in the literature. The HBOT clinics make some big claims but the independent researchers show the benefits are mainly for those in a coma. The research that shows a benefit shows 60 to 80 treatments to get the benefit. Some studies claim the improvements are temporary.

It has been 3 months since my accident - I fell and hit my head on the garage floor from 3 stairs up.
My complaints are headaches - everyday, fogginess and concentration. Although I feel pretty lucky when I see the needs of some others. There has been very little progress in the last month.
I rest, rest, rest - and then sneak of to the gym when I can - couple times a week - just use an incline bike. Tried accupuncture and chiro. Chiro helped - had c1 and c2 issues - and now trying massage.

If you have soreness to touch behind your ears, your headaches may still be related to your upper neck. Most chiros are too aggressive with the "Twist the head and pop" adjustments. The C-1 to occiput (base of the skull) does not pop like the lower vertebra.

Icing your upper neck should help reduce inflammation. This should be a long term plan.

You should also be making an effort to maintain good neck and head posture, especially during sleep. Getting good sleep is also important. A bad night's sleep can cause the full range of symptoms you are experiencing.
