SSD payments

I am from New york, and got my decision letter on April 15th, can anyone give me an estimate of how long it takes to receive my payments? I am just looking for estimates I know no one knows for sure.

Often backpay hits before the letter. Did you setup direct deposit? Usually it happens within a month or two, unless you have complications of an offset.

If you did elected direct deposit, you will not be notified by SSDI or your bank when your backpay arrives.
2 weeks after getting your approval letter, start checking your account every week.
