Facebook personality problems

Recently I posted a couple of opinions on Facebook. I think that allot of people have become desensitized while posting there opinions on Facebook. Within two days I was insulted, and then I was attacked again about something else.

I didn't like it. I don't want to stoop to this level. To one I gave a polite remark. To the other I banned from my Friends list.

If people don't hold their integrity of speech on Facebook,it will bring forth allot of rubbish, and not be fit to read. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Steve,

I am sorry you are hurt.
Direct your opinions to the people who are kind.

Do you use the feature that lets you share with only certain friends?
For example when I see something interesting in my news feed I can
Share Link with the Custom option:
-Public
-Friends
-Friends except Acquaintances
-Only Me
-Custom

It is the same thing for the Update Status / What's on your mind.
Before I click on Post I choose from here:
-Public
-Friends
-Friends except Acquaintances
-Only Me
-Custom

Mari I'm not sure. I think that the posts that I put on my wall goes to my friends. One person who I added last week had microphones as his picture, and one of them that I saw was rare, and I have one like it. I friended him,and sent him a message that I had one like that. A week later he insulted me like we where two high schoolers who didn't like each other. I immediately banned him.

Last week,I posted something on one of my friends post about something, and a person who I don't know said when did you wake up from your coma. I don't like that kind of talk. I posted something back to that person that was non-hostile,but saying I didn't expect that remark. It makes me feel uneasy when I'm in these situations. People are ready to tangle, and start arguments. The last thing I want to do is get into a argument. Some people are instigators.

I guess I must realize that allot of the people on Facebook are not trying to be Ladies,or gentlemen. Everywhere I go,except for here,I find people who are ready to slam peoples reputations. I confess,I've slammed some peoples reputations...mostly politicians. With our current News media, and other TV related situations,it's not bringing character growth, and giving the benefit of the doubt,or building up people.

It's to bad that we are not growing into rational, understanding, and patient people as a whole(People on Earth...Not us here). With so many things that are going on there's mostly division. It's sad. I might be over reacting, but it's been bothered me in the last week. I've read allot of smart remarks over the last year all over the internet, and I do not like seeing these types of remarks. Steve,

I do not think you are overacting.

Anything related to current news stirs people up. They react fast to topics of the day/week.
Find some sites where people discuss topics that do not evoke an emotional or reactive response.
Perhaps you want to deal with people who are thoughtful.

I suggest taking a two week break from Facebook and giving yourself some healing time after what you just went through.

Thank you Mari. I was just on Facebook a little while ago. I feel this creepy type of feeling right now about Facebook.

Thank you for the recommendation. I do feel like I was attacked on there. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I double check my settings at least once a year, just in case FB made any new changes.
