teeth

I went down to Bellevue this morning and made an appointment for a consultation on my teeth. the earliest appt was may 31. everybody was nice. i only took one klonopin. this has been in the works for over three years i think.
i felt relieved. last night and early this morning i was so fearful and didn't see how i was going to get myself to go. I really surprised when I did. One of my friends reminded me of one step at a time and it really helped.

teeth and topamax

thanks for the support. I don't know what they will do at the consultation. I don't know if they will take xrays or what or just tell me how much it will cost. I know i need dentures for the uppers. I think i will probably need dentures for the lowers also.
I am off topamax now. The one thing i notice is that I am bored a lot. On topamax I wasn't bored much. I am still having very vivid dreams about everything. early this morning i was dreaming about a squash tournament and the food they laid out. I think I was carrying around a picture of my beloved Morgy....I think all these dreams make me tired.
i went to the senior center yesterday and Alice's sister Jane was there. She is lovely and very bright and kind. We talked about different things. I announced i was getting dentures to the table and later wondered if that was inappropriate.
I didn't get any feedback.
I ordered some sauerkraut. My friend said it is easy to make ...just use chopped up cabbage, a half teaspoon of salt and put it in a sealed jar for a week. she said the fermentation is great and it is very good for the gut supplying it with probiotics or instead of probiotics.

teeth seniorcenter sauerkraut

Dear Bobby,

I am so happy you have chosen the clinic and made the initial booking to have your teeth seen to. what a huge achievement... i know how hard it has been working up to this. i am impressed. give yourself many pat ont he back for that from me. and some hugs too. i hope the consultation helps to put you at ease more about this process.

good that you went to the center and sounds like a nice time too. i don't think it was inappropriate mentioning the dentures. many folks there will have those, or implants or whatever. they maybe didn't realize you wanted feedback... just took it as sharing.

sauerkraut is great. another thing i haven't had in ages. i also like Kimchi - Korean fermented cabbage which has red pepper in it. cayenne or similar. hot hot hot. my parents don't like sauerkraut so i don't get to have it. As for Kimchi they would not even go near that, ha.

how are you feeling? thanks for your response. I don't know how much sauerkraut i will have because it is supposedly high in salt. I have never heard of the Korean dish. sounds great.....
I am still a mess. I wake up really down and don't want to get out of bed. the walks with cecilia really help because they force me to get dressed and to get out of bed.
feeling down is the pits. I am forcing myself to go to the senior center this week. so far it has been very pleasant. I guess my anxiety will rise the closer i get to having my teeth done. they really need it. I wasn't ready to do it sooner.
love you

Hi Bobby,

'Thinking about you.

Dr. Weil says that you can rinse the salt off the sauerkraut:

http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/QAA281235

Quote:

The friendly lactobacilli created in the fermenting process by which cabbage is transformed into sauerkraut aid digestion, increase vitamin levels, produce a variety of beneficial enzymes and promote the growth of healthy flora throughout the digestive tract.
And in a study published in the October 23, 2002 Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry Finnish researchers reported that fermenting cabbage produces compounds known as isothiocyanates, shown in laboratory studies (in test tubes and animals) to prevent the growth of cancer. T
here's no evidence, yet, that these compounds have the same effect in humans, but we do know that isothiocyanates occur naturally in broccoli and brussel sprouts, vegetables which appear to be protective against cancer.

thanks a lot. yesterday i went into a real panic. i got a summons from jury duty to appear on the twentieth of may. my doctor said when i asked last time that he would write me a note. I don't know why i panicked when i got it.
yesterday Maria, my cleaning woman, said that her eleven year old daughter was fidgeting around when she was doing her hair so she hit her with a brush a couple of times. the daughter told the teacher who told the principle. social services was called in for possible abuse. she is a very good mother. she has a baby sitter for her daughter so after school the baby sitter watches her rather than have her go home to an empty apartment. she is always looking for clothes for her daughter and comes up with great things from thrift shops etc. she does a lot of things for her daughter. now for the next sixty days a social worker will come check on her once a week. I feel so bad for Maria.
I keep on telling myself that whatever God wants, God gets. I fight so much within myself and have so many fears......I don't know if it is the bipolar or/and the post traumatic stress disorder i got from my explosion.
