I'm new here

I'm new to this forum. After suffering four years of being the caregiver to an ex husband with normal pressure hydrocephalus' I felt like I could use some support. My ex husband had brain surgery two years ago and thankfully the symptoms are somewhat better. Unfortunately, he has undergone a complete personality change, not for the good. He has become extremely verbally abusive to me only. For everyone suffering with brain and other disorders I have the up most admiration for all of you. Its very difficult for us all, and if you have someone who takes care of you, try to remember that the pain goes both ways. If anyone has any advice or has undergone a similar experience please feel free to contact me. I could use some support right now.:grouphug:

I am new here

I have most recently found out that I have Hydrocephalus, from being admitted to the hospital for extremely high blood pressure. Since then , I have been told by a neurosurgeon that I will need brain surgery that will save my life, and if I do not have this procedure, I will certainly die.

I have a pretty good support team of friends, but they know nothing about this disease. I have researched intensely, but it is all clinical information. I would like to hear of others' personal experiences, either patient or caregiver. Thank you.
