Bruises

I have bruises all up and down both legs. My RSD in my legs is mainly in both knees and my left ankle, although the burning I do get all the way up and down my legs. I counted about 8 bruises, and I haven't had any incidents to cause any of them. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I have to assume it's the RSD- does this happen to anyone else too?

Hi Yellow! I have had a few bruises pop up here and there without knowing how they got there. In fact, there is one on my leg now a little higher than the last one that just healed up...no idea how either got there. I have not had as many as you have all at the same time though. Curious to see if others have had this too.

I have the same problem. However, I do remember rather insignificant injuries to the area- such as lightly brushing into something. It surprises me because I don't think such an insignificant bump should lead to such a big bruise.

With that said, I'd never have imagined in my wildest dreams that stubbing my toe could result in crps.

The slightest trauma can cause the RSD to spread not just bruise. my first spread happened when a specialist touched my arm 4ins outside the affected area with a sensitivity pin ( small gold coloured with ball instead of point) RSD went from below the wrist right upto the elbow.

I also will get a very dark bruise if I barely bump up against something and it will hurt terribly too. I hope all the bruises that pop up with no explanation are due to the RSD and not something else. I'll continue to keep an eye on things and see my doctor about it if it keeps persisting
