Just this once, because I think this petition is very important, I am dropping in to your forum from the outer reaches of the Parkinson's forum.
I can't repeat it all here, so I am just giving you the link from Parkinson's:

This will make sense only if you watch the video listed first on the above link - Dr. Ben Goldacre's TED talk;
then the link to his petition is next, and in the petition it tells you "why this is important" and so on.

We are modestly hoping to get a million signatures. Got 48,000 so far.
