Complications

This doesn't have much to do with my scs's but y'all are my online pals and I wanted to tell you I've had some more bad things happen.

I had a seizure on 4/23 and spent 3 days in the hospital. I've been having horrible balance problems, bladder, intimate issues, speech and swallowing issues, dropping things, vertigo, things I chalked up to rsd/crps. Well, I have optic nerve damage and no peripheral vision. I thought it was just switching from contacts to glasses. Nope.

At first they thought it was a Tia or stroke but my bp was 97/65. That's normal for me. They did EEG alert that showed spikes so they did a drowsy one Tuesday. I failed some neurological tests and have no reflexes in either foot or my left knee. My right foot is where rsd started. I have weakness in all extremeties and several markers for MS.

As y'all know we can't have MRIs, so will look at the EEGs, do an LP and mylegram, which sounds awful. So, that's the plan for now.

On a good note, I get my master's next Saturday, even though I may not use it for a bit. The bad news is I am in a wheelchair or using a walker for short distances.

I hope everyone else is faring well!!

Faring Well

Oh, TK, the news you report is quite a serious thing for you! My goodness, the many things which erupted at once and system wide, I just have difficulty getting my mind around the multiplicity of issues. Oh my, oh my.

Your heart nevertheless looks toward the degree to be conferred upon you AND you "ring off" hoping others are faring well, you precious lady you. A heart for others, that is what you have.

Know this, as you deal with these matters and the consequent testing in an effort to gain insight to your complications, you are in my prayers.

Absolutely, always, and without hesitation,
Prayin, :grouphug:
