Can Gabapentin cause pain ?

I woke up this morning with very little pain, wow how great a feeling ! Then I took a Gabapentin and in about 20 minutes my feet began to hurt and I was just wondering if Gabapentin can make nerve pain worse ?

Since nobody knows the answer to my question, guess I'm going to taper off and see what happens, been on Gabapentin about 3 years now so I'm thinking my body may need a break.

I've been on Gabapentin (1600MM a day) and it's the only thing that works for me.

How much Gabapentin are you currently taking?
