Anyone investigate this report and/or test the hypothesis?

No thoughts on the report??? gosh.. it's lonely being cutting edge...

I am going to try this getting rid of the bacteria without using antibiotics.

Anyone else willing to try??

Hmmm ~ I don't know. :confused: Even if there HAD been bacteria in my herniated disc, and they cleared that up -- the disc would STILL be herniated, and would STILL be pushing on the nerves. So what difference would that make?? :confused:

Lots of folks have herniated disk and they don't know it... I think what they are saying is that the bacteria is causing the pain, not that getting rid of it will make the herniation go away.

Like in my case, my herniation is rather small, but I am in huge amounts of pain.

I can believe that I have this bacteria and it is causing me to be disporportionatly in pain. And is probably the reason most of the 12 injections I have had dont work very well... argh...

I'm going to work on this, will report back :)

Yeah, but what *I"M* saying is the disc will STILL be pushing on the nerves, and that is a PAINFUL situation!!! When discs are pushing on nerves, they send signals to the brain and the brain sends signals that it's PAINFUL!!! And believe me IT IS!!! So whether or not they give you antibiotics it's STILL GOING TO BE VERY PAINFUL.

I wonder if they are mainly talking about general back pain/soft tissue type and not pain caused by actual MRI visible causes?

I didn't see any specific pain causes in the article, unless there were more pages..
