Burning sensation and collapsing
Can anyone offer me any guidance on my undiagnosed condition. I get a burning sensation between my ribs and hip on my back to the lefthand side, this is accompanied by a feeling down either both of my legs (or can be just the left leg) which is like somebody pouring moulten metal down them. Immediately my knees give way, when they do this they always move to the left. During this the muscles in the outside of my thighs tense to make a concave effect on my thighs. The exact timing of the muscle tensing is difficult to gauge as it gets lost in the pains that I get.
When I can eventually get back on my feet, I have loss of sensation which gives me a feeling of very heavy legs but I cannot feel whether my feet are on the floor or not at anytime. |
Heavy legs....
I experience something like what you described - with the sense of heavy legs and the pain and loss of sensation etc... I have been diagnosed with many spinal problems mostly in the lower spine but recently I was told I had cervical myelopathy - a serious condition of the neck. If you "google" cervical myelopathy or myelopathy - it will list the symptoms. The sensation that your legs are very heavy is a main symptom. Also, spasticity in the legs - the feeling like you cannot stand up - that your legs are going to give out or they do give out - and the loss of sensation...could be a cervical neck issue. Your symptoms could be neurological in nature - I would recommend seeing a neurologist or a neurosurgeon to see if they can figure it out. Good luck and let us know how you are progressing. We all care about you. |
