Most amazing thing on Facebook
Wow, I had a amazing thing happen.
I was visiting a area I go to when I see something of interest. Its about one of my counties, and a town or two. Anyway, a group of special needs mom's were talking about needing or wanting a support group. In the middle of this discussion, someone had mentioned a advocate. And the fact that they were free. I realized they were talking about me. But kept reading. Kept finding references, to advocates. And things, so at the end, I introduced myself. And talked a little about IN*SOURCE> Explained I could/would help them start a support group. And I could do training on special education and preparing for your case conference. So the interest snow balled. As of tonight I have 8 or 9 names, and emails. And someone looking into a place. Wow, this is a area I've tried to develop because I can tell they need help so bad. Now maybe I can get somewhere. Wow, what a amazing night. Donna:hug::grouphug: |

Thought I would tell everyone about Derrick's art festival this weekend.
He got two placements. One for the 2-D art a 3rd place and one for 3-D art a 2nd place. I was surprised. But not as surprised as Derrick. I was afraid he was going to start crying.:grouphug::hug: Donna |
what were the pieces of art?
congratulations to him! bizi |
One is a ceramic piece that looks like a cup I believe or bowl
That has his D R on it. Its a really neat one. Its his 3-D art. The other is a picture from digital design and I'm not sure what it was of. Hopefully I can get his camera and post the pictures he took one day soon. Donna :grouphug: |
Oh and Will played his first game tonight. He had a ball.
He was doing a great job. They play a little differently They have a girls team come and help them stay on the field and also go up when they bat. Then run the bases with them. Usually there are two or three kids with the kids that are either more severe. Will is a runner so there were two girls with him. He even got to play the pitcher position the second inning. And he was having a ball there. And was good. I wouldn't be surprised if the coach and the others didn't get as much a kick out of him playing there as he did. Donna:grouphug::hug: |
Will is growing up so fast!
