I Am Forced to Go Back to School

Ok so let the good times roll lol....I cannot wait for disability anymore to tell me something.I have used up all my savings etc and I am going to start school online for loan money pretty much.I am very upset because I am not ready!Even my neurologist say's when I email him that my grammar etc is off.

I do not know what to do!I have had ENOUGH!I asked my TBI vestibular M.D. if my brain would shut down again and would have to start everything in rehab again. She said no what is done is done.I am 30 years old I need to try to continue my dreams and not lose everything I worked for in life to a stupid PCS.Any feedback is appreciated.:grouphug:

Get accomodations

Hi Mia

If you have to go back to school to survive, can you get accomodations written into your school plan as deemed by your med. team?

Extra time for papers / tests / projects

Use of sunglasses -- ear plugs when needed.

Can you be part time student?

Just some thoughts....

If you believe that going to school will help you in a career moving forward, and you think that you are cognatively ready for the work required to be successful in the academic program I'd say great. However is sounds as if you have doubts about your ability to successfully complete a program of study. If this is the case I'd suggest thinking long and hard about taking school loans out. School loans will stay with you until they are paid off; they are not dischargeable in bankruptcy. Going into debt after using up savings may only make matters worse. If you don't think you are ready for the rigors of school I'd suggest continuing to pursue other options.
